I am a huge fan of Social hit exchanges. ( I just had to say that)

This business makes waves everyday! Whether it’s a new found partnership or reading the latest back a forth.

Im not the sharpest knife in the drawer. With that said………

Why is it that building YOUR business is the hardest concept for so many people online ?

I understand that spending money on something that has not made you rich is hard to budget for.

If you knew you had a chance to make 5 dollars for every 4 you spent would you?

I know I do it every day.

What if you had to spend 1,000 on a new feature to be programmed and you just knew you could make 1,001 off it in 6 months would you do it?

This is the crazy part most said yes to the first one and I probably lost 80% ON THE SECOND ONE

but what most don’t think about is in 12 months I should earn another 1001 ++ its not guaranteed But if I earned that much in 6 month how much more will I earn in a year or 2 or 5 years.

Your business is an investment of time, energy, effort, focus, and money too to miss any of them it so short yourself.

You don’t have to own a traffic exchange or an ebook to do good in this business it takes hard work effort and a little practical business sense

Invest in yourself spend $10 dollars today and try to make $11 from it. If you do, your going to invest 11 the next day LOL

Is this Spam?

The Spam Is In the List (is what i was going to call this post )

You may hear it a different way from time to time. Like the money is in the list.

I think people view this wrong recently James Holms bought boot scootin traffic

I am a member and will continue to be so, but it was strange when Sunny Suggs the old owner sent me an e-mail from a foreign address.

See sunny kept the list and just assumes that since we signed up for bootscootin and she owned bootscootin then we are hers.

Now My take on this is, “This is wrong for 2 major reasons:”

1st the members did not optin to Sunny but to boot scootin so the emails sent are unwanted and SPAM.

2nd James Holmes bought an site that will now be hit double by emails making his purchase less affective.

At the very minimum Sunny should have sent out an email with James permission and ASKED people to opt-in for a second time as bootscootin was being sold and with it the ability to send email to a list she no longer owned.

I hate feeling like a number on a list I truly do but this is internet marketing 101 and it’s a gross display of how impersonal it can truly be.

And To Sunny Suggs former owner of boot scootin remove me I didn’t sign up to you I signed up to bootscootin.

So I ask you all to let me know what you think Is this SPAM or not?

Yes ! I hear that all the time. And I’m floored every time I read that in a tweet or a wall post.

Come on really!!!!    There are traffic exchange Owners that “poo poo‘s” social surfing but are tweeting there blog post !

Wow I love it!!!!   Living breathing hypocrite, Your trying to gain Social people to your traffic exchange. LOL wow !

I don’t know if I made this point clear enough. Is social a fad? Sure it is. It’s a long lasting fad I guess. I think Patrick Griffins blog post was good I love the analogy of the Black and white TV seriously!!!    Who still owns a working black and white TV?

The internet is evolving every hour. And to turn your back on the same social technology your using to try to gain a new member is Priceless.

So to all the Hypocrites out there preaching that social surfing Stinks make sure your not connecting with any one on twitter and facebook cause social don’t work. Remember?

Think of Social in a new Light. If I didn’t catch someones attention for my splash or squeeze page, But they liked me on facebook. I have a second chance at connecting with them.

And that is why social works. Oh yeah ! Social Works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see a lot of people giving up everyday and saying “I cant do it!” or “this is too much work.” there is a million excuses why you cant do something.

While I will never agree 100% with the 2 of them I agree on this point.

Mindless surfing happens by some

and Interactive surfing is also happining daily too.

But like any form of advertising there is going to be mindless views but interactive surfers.

I loved Tims point to the TV commercial analogy. Some commercials do grab my attention and others I mindlessly stare at the screen.

I am mindlessly following leaders in the industry to post on a topic I feel passionately about.
LOL I sure am LOL

If your page is weak or has noting that grabs my attention I will mindlessly look at your page

If you page is like 100 other page I will mindlessly view it.

If your page grabs my attention I will Not only view it with attention But I will most likely Join too.

Lets get real Traffic Exchanges work. Where are you going to find a huge amount of traffic to your website that will work with amazing effectiveness and has no or little monetary cost associated with it.

The Hit Exchange World is On fire right Now!

With new owners dropping there hat in the ring. Im not talking about some fly by night sites Im talking about Owners that are going to be around for years and years to come.

There is more advancements in the traffic exchange industry in the last 6 months than there has been in the last 6 years.

People are breathing new life in to the traffic exchange industry opening Blogs and getting social and getting back to the forums too.

Were talking about Traffic exchange summits and offline meetings.

That’s right folks the traffic exchange hit exchange and social exchanges are growing.

But its also time to get smart about then too

If some lonely TE owner wants to spread Hate in all there e-mails it might be time to move on!

If a TE owner cant answer a support ticket its probably time to move on!

And If a TE owner closes your account cause A mail provider they don’t like ( Comcast) its time to move on!

If a TE is being talked about and you see the page in rotation its TIME TO JOIN!

Hi My Name is James Dias and i’m a traffic exchange-aholic.

I wake up in the morning thinking how can I rock The traffic exchange industry.

The NEW IT LOGO

I go to sleep at night thinking the same thing.

Something in me tells me I’m going to hit that hot button. Or I built it just right. But its that quest that keeps me going.

It’s a passion that is tough to describe. I love the business and some times I get a little frustrated but I have been marketing both online and off since 2001 I have worked for some pretty cool places and learned a lot.

But the one thing that I love the most about The Traffic Exchange industry. Is the people that are surfing with me at IT and other owners and people that are just plain good at TE marketing.

I’m not trying to get all sentimental on whoever reads this. BUT…. I will say thank you to every one that is helping me and working with me and surfing Traffic Exchanges with me

Stop thinking outside the box

yes I said, "Stop thinking outside the BOX." Its worthless

Oh man! Am I tired of this worn out cliché. Its Sick and a drain on everything good in feedback.

Why is when something is original they say “Now that’s thinking out side of the box”

Or when its Not enough they say again “Try to think more out side of the box”

Seriously this is what we have chalked up to success thinking outside the box is boring and mundane. Everyone and there dog and brother is doing it.

And when did we start rewarding people for stealing Ideas. Is thinking outside the box?

Im so amazed that with all the resources and technology people still thinks its cool to take something with out ever building it for themselves.

I, like many other webmasters think it is time to think more about your business. And be more creative with your business.

So I say stop thinking outside of the box and start just thinking. Be creative, Be original and Be Amazing its not hard Just be yourself.

Don’t run …….. Just give it a second.

The topic is splash pages, If you received my email you will know this is an extension of the email.
Splash pages are one of the least expensive ways to powerfully generate attention to your page.

My goal is to show you why a splash page will dominate the results look at the 2 pages below and ask your self which one grabs your attention.

I don’t build the best splash page ( trust me I know this) but when I build my own it is me that is promoting the site. Not some one else. Its through my eyes and not the owners.

All I ask is that you try a splash page today. Take an affiliate link you would normally use and build a splash page for it and try it for 60 days at any site or a bunch of sites. But run it.

There is a lot of sites that will help you build splash pages Google splash page design or head over to
Ad Kreator or If you have Photoshop or a paint program try that! But do something!

And test your results have fun and its ok to splash in a traffic exchange pool

Slander OR speaking ill of others
It is so easy to write a venomous e-mail or a facebook post . But why? Is this your business model? Is it profitable to cut out a % of your business because you are so mad at the world.

I have complaints about others from time to time but I not going to rip them a new one.

Which leads me to the probably the #1 reason why we cant get along

Ethics

Ethics this one I am not going to comment on too much because I think we all could question out own ethics a little everyday to ensure we are doing the best we can and keeping a high standard.

1 Traffic Exchange V.S. 10 of them

If one is good the 10 is better.

As humans we believe this. And in some aspects this is true and in others this couldn’t be farther from the truth.

Example One: I have a dollar and that’s good but 10 would be better. ( I agree)

Example Two: I have one traffic exchange making a dollar BUT 10 would be better ( NO!)

See in example two there is a broken logic and we are going to break this down so you can see the logic:

1 traffic exchange VS 10 traffic exchanges

Effort
If you have one traffic exchange 100% of your marketing efforts go to project and 10 te’s only get >10% because of the time it takes to change gears.

Time
one hour surfing for one traffic exchange = 10 hours surfing for 10 traffic exchanges

Cost
cost is a huge factor Items you pay for like: Script, graphics, hosting, and your monthly ad budget, all factor in. or with 10 you can pay 10 times that.

Members
It’s a fact what there is only about 3 - 4 degrees of separation between traffic exchanges and the members. Keep this in mind that if you have a unique traffic exchange that offers great service and a good value People will upgrade.

But if you have 10 the traffic exchanges they are not going to be so unique and the customer service is going to suffer and the value will also suffer

ROI
This is the most over looked factor in the traffic exchange industry. Now I’m not going to debate top of the mind advertising or exposure.
But I will say this the average TE will not make it at all. Sorry it’s a fact that over 50% will not make it to a year.

Lets say you get away with only spending 1000 dollars in the first 2 months of opening a traffic exchange.

That’s $10,000 if you opened 10 traffic exchanges.

Imagine if you doubled you efforts and focus on just one great traffic exchange. You could and can earn 2 to 10X the amount you could if you had 10 with little focus and effort placed in them.

ASK yourself this would you buy one $10,000 car or ten $1,000 cars? Which one is going to be the best for you?

But that is Just my traffic exchange 2 cents.

Well its Wednesday here in my world. And I have finally gotten over my block. A lot of it is just scheduling what I need to do and I have also noticed when I get an early start I also seem to be more productive.

is it strong simple detailed or templated. And yes we are reading them SPELLING never counts when it comes to me as I cant spell to save my LIFE.

This to me is the most important as this is where I am other members spend the most time is surfing.
This is also there the over all grade can go up or down big time.

On the Home page the Truck is a great mascots One thing notices is the image for the page and the background don’t quite match it looks a little off but that is cosmetic

the sites home page is is basic and simple with some detail

In the members area the display for functions is straight for simple to use

The surf is good I love the signs ( Im a very big fan of the signs) the chat is not matching with the surf 100% but again cosmetic and maybe add a little color to the surfbars it feels a little unfinished in the surf area

Back to the basics or back to school?

Today’s voice of reason comes from the amazing drive for ourselves to learn.

I registered at my local community collage today that’s right 32 years old and on my way back to school.

I took the first step I talked about it. The second step was to take action I did by registering.

So now the third step is to find classes that meet what I need, I’m looking for graphic design and some CSS but more than that I want to network with people like me and learn from them.

don’t get me wrong I’m available in Skype for people who share my interest. In fact I challenge other traffic exchange owners to connect with me. And I want to add that personal element where we can bounce ideas.

We all talk about connections. So why collage well I didn’t do it the first time. I love the traffic exchange industry and I want to add more to it and my goal is to bring more powerful people to the business.

An I going to be rich and famous from doing this NO probably not !

Am I going to add something and improve upon an existing idea YEP!

I want my daughter and brother ( the kids) to be proud of me. I think that’s the single most important factor for me.

Happy Mothers Day

Today is mothers day

And for My beautiful wife I honor her as a wonderful mother of our amazing daughter.

But I also, her for being the lady that has stepped up to be a mother for my kid brother.

See in august of 2005 My mother “ Carla Jean” passes away at the age of 44. She had small cell lung cancer.

My brothers Matthew was 9 at the time and is now 15. My wife loves Matthew and yells at him and takes care of him like her own.

That to me is what mothers day is all about. While my wife is one amazing woman there are millions of other stories not unlike hers.

There are mothers fighting on the front lines in our military. And women that raise kids on there own with no support or help and never complain. And there are women that take on roles not because they have too but because they want to.

So this blog post is for moms all over the world and my beautiful wife of over 10 years.

I started laughing at a few of them cause when I read the email its all just the same crap.

Some exchanges have it to where the send me 2 of the same exact emails back to back. Like I’m not smart enough to see it in the first place.

Or when I deleted the first one it suddenly dawned on me “ holy spam batman! I should have read that one WOW I am super lucky this traffic exchange sent me two of them”

I hope you feel the sarcasm in that.
Cause we need to have humor in this business and the more I watch the more of the same I see. Imagine for a second every time you get in the car the same song is on. ( On every channel) but there is still county and rap and metal versions of the same song.

I tried to write this blog post 2 times to day but I finally found a topic

Today I was watching the T3 and saw something I have never seen so clearly.

With out using exact examples. I see this is clearly a problem and its getting worse.

Everyone wants to know “what’s in it for me?” “what do I get out of it?”

This mentality is killing some small business and our industry is no different. The old cliché if you give someone an inch….. I think you get the point.

I love to win things I think every one does but think of this. What prize did Jon Olson win? When he is spending time in front of 75 people ranting ( Yes Jon is crazy at times) I don’t agree with him 100% of the time.

He makes more $ online then I do (duhhhhh!.) When was the last time someone thanked him for his time. How many times has someone like Jon been burnt, and still keeps doing it. I'm just going to guess he is not everyones favorite person.

Trust me Jon sometimes is a blow hard ( oh boy! that is going to come back to bite me) BUT....

There is times when what he says is some of the best advice you could get and it was free on top of that.

And there is a lot of owners that try to give, it may be a free upgrade and hand full of credit’s, or a coffee cup.

But there is always going to be one person that doesn't think something is fair or they want more.

I do this business because I love it. And if I have something extra to give I try to. I donate to cancer with my profits and Jon Olson donated $50.00 to my cause not cause he needed to but because he thought it was the right thing to do.

What is a traffic exchange?

This seems to still be a question every one thinks they can answer but in fact is Kinda just a guess.

Is a traffic exchange clicking an ad every X seconds. Or is it engaging with some one and asking them to click an ad?

The word exchange is the powerful one here basically, quid pro quo (Yes I got this from silence of the lambs ) meaning This for that.
Yes you see the ad but did you stop and look at it did you sign up dud you do any thing other than click to the next site? Why?

A traffic exchange with out the exchange part is just traffic. You and I have got to be active. As you read this some one saw your ad what did they do? Why? Ask questions and don’t forget the quid pro quo

So ask everyone to read and share this post, Exchange ideas, exchange testimonials, exchange social network info, exchange anything ......

Just put back the exchange in traffic exchange and the surfing will grow too!

A week to remember!

As I sit down to write this blog post I grinning ear to ear.

I have made quite a few connections over the last few weeks. I know its not all due to my program IT. With that said it is because I am getting active in the whole TE world.

I will never claim to be a guru or anything like that because the fact is IM NOT!

But the more I surf and the more I interact with other Traffic Exchange surfers and owners the better the message penetrates the minds of on Lookers. I mean you can only see a message so many times before you just curious as to what is IT?

Anyone who reads this blog this week thanks for keeping the Traffic exchange industy alive and well. We are the hart and soul of this business. If you just starting out or an old dog this business is great its fun and its enjoyable. Keep surfing and keep promoting. The Traffic exchange industry isn’t going any where.

WAR what is it good for........

The traffic exchange business is hot right now!

Understand that I say this because of all the doom and gloom TE owners out there.

The reason its not working is 90% of all traffic exchanges that I see are not fluid. What is fluid?

The ability to change with out restriction ( I know its not the real definition) but it makes a solid point.
I am building splash pages today and keep thinking what will stand out? What will drive interest to my exchange over my competitor.

Understand I love this business, it’s done pretty well for me over the last couple years. But lazy TE owners are a pain in my side.

I don’t get everything right, but I’m fluid, and when people say nothing about a page I know its time to change it. Or if they love a page it’s a good idea to keep it for a bit.

Or if you ban a site and a members have placed multiple contact request to have the site removed from a ban list because of what a site was 3 years ago. Thanks for answering your members XXXXX my money and surfing will go some where else now! Or another that hid the contact for off the site LOL .

But again I don’t get every thing right, one thing I do know is good traffic is never out of style. And having good members is a must. And answering support tickets and making the exchange evolve.

I am not going to start a fight or call any one out …..Today…… But trust in me I will digress to the point I tear a couple large traffic exchanges apart.

Oh and if you pick on other webmasters and you know who you are….. There is a small new Traffic exchange that is just looking to take the gloves off. When it comes to this business I love it and if you have such a hard time then get out now.

But everyone who had done it is successful ….. I hear this all the time

While this may be the case. I hate following what everyone else is doing. When everyone says think outside the box I want to get in the box and think (all-up-in-IT thinking right now!)

BUT I do listen to them and make my OWN plan.

The same can be said for the launch of my new exchange I didn’t do a hard launch. I didn’t build up a huge hype-fest. When it was done I let it go to the world. The hype behind a NEW greatest ever thing stopped impressing me when I got e-mails for 70 new traffic exchanges claiming to be the BEST EVER.

The Idea behind IT is once they try IT they like IT. I ran all the numbers. I could but nothing and I mean nothing could have prepared me for the results I am seeing so far. Hundreds of connections on face book and twitter. 2 weeks old today and have over 350 face bookbook fans. Referrals to sites I have in my down line builder. And most important they are showing IT to others.

I didn’t say IT was the biggest launch of 2011. But to me the people that are getting results right now using IT. That makes me think I under promised and over delivered.

And that’s good business

Members are coming in and looking around and returning to surf and promote themselves.

And that is my traffic exchange 2 cents!

I read a blog today ….

In this blog a webmaster (traffic exchange owner ) is right and so very wrong at the same time. The question was “are you surfing for results or for fun.”

The answer should be both!
If you want to get honest. I am not going to surf a site with all text and not one single image. While the visual aspect of a site can be debated as fun. I can tell you I think an all text site would be boring beyond belief.

but that’s not the case is it? Traffic exchanges have prize page with graphics and games the whole point of this is to make it more fun…. Right?

Chat in surf is an idea I wanted to play with but decided to go a different direction not for any other reason than I didn’t want to follow what any one else was doing.

So I built a members profile page and attached it to their sites. This is an extension of there marketing and there brand. IT’s all about them. Here is a snapshot of what a strong marketing plan looks like. I call it IT

look at our surf and see how you can deliver your message and your brand to new people better than ever before.
so now you see the “Social Surf” has evolved for the better because IT is all about you.

So I return the challenge to webmasters of traffic only sites to shut off their prize pages or convert to all test and see how far you get with out having fun. IT is new and getting better results than I had every dreamed of.

Or embrace positive change and build your list, brand yourself, build your downlines, and connect your network.

Social Traffic exchanges are carving a niche in the industry. The idea of a social exchange is not new by any stretch of the imagination in face some social has been around for a while.
I not going to kiss anyone’s rear here. I will say some of the larger exchanges have had members connecting in some ways for years. But all of them are missing some elements and features. To make them social people need to connect in many different ways.

What is social ? well basically it’s a communication or a companionship

What is networking ? The cultivation of productive relationships.

So this means basically that social networking is a cultivation of communication between productive people.

Ok now that we are all on the same page we need to connect with like minded people to grow ideas partnerships and advance ourselves and challenge our own brain Power.

This business can get a little boring if all you hear and see is the same things over and over again. With no real change all the NEW sites still look and act the same. This can be good and bad for the business because people get stuck using the same systems

The Learning Curve

I learn every day. I love it too. Being a student of the traffic exchange industry makes me who and what I am.

I have been preaching the definition of insanity for a long time. That doing the same thing over and over expecting different results is Insane.

This can be seen in hundreds of ways every day ( don’t get me wrong I do insane things all the time) but I learn from my peers too.

If your traffic exchange or website is on a script. then the basics are the same after install. For example the About us page on most peoples sites is all the same aside for a couple of words How is this going to make you stand out.

I know that there is a lot of webmasters showing the same exact page and I am guilty of this too. So this week I am making a big effort to change a few things for the better. Some times you need to look at the competition to see what they are and a lot of the time what they are NOT doing to grow.

One of the little things I noticed was that Ablaze was only giving 100 credits to the people who work hard to refer new members to our cool system. That was the standard default. So I changed it and ablaze now offers 2,500 credits for each new active referral.

So the advice for this week bee a leader not a follower and make sure you keep an eye on your competitors they may just show off there short comings.

Some updates Around the net today (Saturday January 22, 2011)

I was a member of SURFTRAFFICEXCHANGE.COM and went to the traffic exchange today to notice that the site is gone.

It makes me wonder how a site with an Alexa.com rank of 39,500 the owner either forgot and or didn’t want to renew the url for another year. http://surftrafficexchange.com/ was a site has had odds in it’s favor to grow and be seen. With a great Alexa.com ranking and a solid members base. Imagine if this site went to the ad OneSource script for there traffic exchange.

I learn form Surf traffic exchange a very valuable lesson. Make sure the site you want to be your business is funded and monitored so that you don’t loose it.

If some one is looking to get out of the traffic exchange business and are ready to just walk away stop! If you think about it you could place your traffic exchange for sale and make a few dollars rather that throwing away all that valuable time and effort.

So the question What happened to surf traffic exchange .com well I would say a webmaster that didn’t have a solid plan In place

Another example of this is X-surf.net. Nick west the former owner just let the site go. If people keep doing this across the net it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy that the traffic exchange industry is a bad neighborhood. The truth is it is really not

Ablaze Back to Basics volume 1

The best way I have found to work on my websites it to look at it like a customer.

First try to find it in a search engine using a term you would want to find your site under ( you may be a lot of pages to search so be patient.)

Next and once you have found your site take a look at the site. Did you find what you clicked thru to see? Is the message the same as the keyword you were looking for? If you answered no then it might be time to work on a little SEO.

Traffic exchanges are a lot like any other industry they have a healthy amount of competitors and there is a lot of larger sites out there that have a dominating hold on a keyword you want. Am I going to beat easyhits4u in the keyword manual surf? Well probably not. But there is some that they don’t use that I might. This part of the homework needed to be successful. A couple of free cool sites I use is:

Google keyword tracker https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
SEO Tools http://www.seotools.com
Alexa.com http://www.alexa.com/

So take the sites that you think are a competitor and see what they are doing don’t copy but write down what you seen and learn their strengths and their weaknesses. This will net you find keywords that they left on the shelf. And thus optimizing your site with a powerful words.

Always ask yourself this “is what I am doing make sense?” if the answer is yes then move forward and keep in your mind you are going to take a larger piece of your competitors market by optimizing in ways they are not.

Have fun with this and try to take a page or two every week to optimize. In a few short months you will be done and starting to see the real organic traffic results.

From time to time I get asked a very important question

Oh man that is an easy answer but it takes some good old fashioned work to achieve good results.

Build your down line ( I told you the answer is easy)

but the work involved is a little more than just dropping in a link to a traffic exchange or a safe list people need to know it works.

A good High converting downline builder is worth its weight in gold if used and used often. Free Traffic Exchange Software advice

I just read an older blog post buy a fellow traffic exchange owner. Ironically on topic as we Just launched our traffic exchange software http://adonesource.com today.

Let me give you some back ground real fast.

The Relationship game

Relationships are essential to any business. Traffic exchanges are no different. If you work hard at any relationship then you have the ability to succeed. But some times it is harder to earn the respect of the person or persons that you are working with. Maybe you haven’t been working in this business very long or your exchange is not all that big. Either way you are at some what of a disadvantage and you need to work hard to make up for the lack of members or what ever your short fall is. Work hard! It’s the only way to get to a good relationship.

What’s wrong with traffic exchanges today?

This is an honest question from a traffic exchange owner ( that’s me) but I need to say that some sites that don’t have a big name are getting stronger because people like you and I want more…..

It seems like the amount of work the is put in to a good traffic exchange is getting less and less.
Why is this?

Some of the answers may surprise you. I can hear webmasters and traffic exchange owners all the time talking about how it is hard to make money using a traffic exchange. Well yes this is true. But think of this. Look at what you offer, and look at what a competitor offers, then look at a successful website like Walmart.com.

You are not going to learn to be a successful selling machine by just watching the industry your working in. That’s the problem everyone is copying each others ideas and placing a small spin on and calling it “New” or “fresh”.

This weeks advice step out side the box and compare the box with other bigger boxes. We can learn from others mistakes. But if you learn from there successes then we grow.

A good friend of mine Richard Parker keeps saying this to me “ a rising tide, lifts all ships” If your willing to spend a few hours a day growing than you are lifting all the other ships in your industry.

Do something ! And get your head in the game.

Its About stinking time

Ok let me elaborate just a bit, Auto Surf site have been kind of quiet in the last few years.

And now I say "Its about stinking time" that an auto surf site went one 1:1 but they do it with no upgrades.

So how do you do just that? Well I have heard that if you want to be a success in the traffic exchange world you need to bring something new to the table.

But remember there is some basic guidelines for getting people interested in your site and products.

Stand out , build your down line, build a good solid list, and keep branding your product.

The whole idea is to get seen but look at your products and offers are they appealing to you as well. Make sure you look at it as a potential customer. This way you are seeing what they see.

I cant tell you how happy I am but lets just say I am stoked

I always knew ablaze had the potential to be a large traffic exchange.

When I bought this traffic exchange a little over 2 years ago it was Small and the php script that it was on was worthless the more I tried to push the site the more it slowed down. Then I was told if I upgraded to traffic DX then it would all be good.

That was no wear close to the truth In fact I was crashing every other day.

Then I spoke with a programer His name Rich Parker from Varisearch.

I spoke with him and didn’t want to spend no more money after shelling out almost 500 for the first 2 scripts.

Rich made Only One promise to me he said if I need more room to grow he will make sure I have the room.

In March 2010 changed over to Rich Parkers system with less than 3500 Life time members since 2004 and almost 120 active members per month.

Now 5 months later ablaze has 11889 all time members and 130 are active daily.
And the reason for this huge change is learning and having the right system in place.

Real traffic to your website is this a myth? I don’t think so. But if you follow everyone’s advice out there you head will spin off and then what are you going to do?

Some Manual Traffic exchange marketing “gurus” tell us to build your list and brand yourself.

Some Massive Auto Surf Traffic exchanges tell you to build a down line.

Splash Pages, Squeeze Pages, e-mail, banners, Text ads. Man this just too much to think about.

But is it …..

Lets break it down from top to bottom.

You Have a website and Time you sell or give away something so you have the basics.

Your website needs to have:
looks, functionality, content, and a purpose This is one of the hardest things to do and seems to be a never ending task but in reality this first step is the most important.

Marketing materials:

3 or 4 banners
With many different sizes. And looks and messages this will help you to test what works better. Delete the lowest performing banner and build a new one then follow the results of that one.

3-4 text ads
Again change the message each time to test them. The one with the higher click through ratio is a keeper.
Delete the lowest performing Text ad and build a new one then follow the results of that one.

3-4 splash pages
This is a simple designed page that plants the seeds and grabs interest. Splash pages are also great to use for adsence campaigns. Make sure your designs stand out there is nothing wrong with basic but you want to leave an impression. Delete the lowest performing splash and build a new one. then follow the results of that one.

1-2+ new links
Every day you need to ad at least one new link you your website from a website like yours If it’s a traffic exchange the find a traffic exchange that will link to your site.

Build your down line
Every day you need to have a goal of earning one more referral to your top systems. This not only takes off some of your workload but it also builds up your top systems you do use and in most traffic exchanges you will receive benefits from your referrals surfing in the form of credits.

If you follow this advice I can asure you you will have built:
3-4 very high converting Banners
3-4 very high converting Text Ads
3-4 very high converting Splash Pages
365+ links to your website
365 referrals in your down line.

If you have done this you website is so much more powerfull and is starting to recive pagerank and alexa rank not to mention it is starting to receive a steady stream of visitors every minuet of the day.

If your business is based in part or in whole to a website. The goal is to correctly and legitimately connect with other people in your field.

We call this connecting the dots also known as link building. Why is link building so important?

The answer is so simple.
Links connect you to the masses, much like roads connect a business.
If your business in on a dirt road in the middle of no-where-ville your probably not going to get too many shoppers. The same holds true to when your getting your brand on the internet remember we called this the (Information super highway) for a long time. But if there is no exits and roads leading to your website people will just pass you by.

The business that succeed online start with a good infrastructure. One exit from the super high way is not nearly enough. But is better than no exits at all.

Make a plan and don’t cheat at all no matter how tempting it may be. Google, bing and others are like free ways on the internet. Imagine having 5,000,000 roads leading to your little shop could you sell a few products by default? The answer is yes!!

So how can you make 5,000,000 roads lead to your website? Connect the dots and build one road at a time. Find forums or Blogs Just like yours. And read the blog you may just learn something. Then post a comment to it with your website as a link to your name (most Blogs Allow this) you just created one road to you Website.

Alot of people see ads for a company selling links. Search engines see this as bad neighborhoods AKA "the ghetto" so why would you place you business in the in the bad areas of town or on the internet? The answer is you wouldn’t.

so to be safe here is a solid suggestion. Find larger more powerful sites that are like yours and build a road from it to your business. If people like what you do, then they will also add roads to you site.

Why Do You Surf Traffic Exchanges?

I have asked myself this question for the last 2 years (ever since I bought Ablaze With Traffic). The answer I keep returning to can be broke down to 3 parts.

Part #1 Exposure -

There are hundreds of thousands of surfers out there. Tens of thousands are Surfing Right now and you can display your message to them with no monetary cost to you. I know Time cost money but I mean not using cash. If done right you can deliver your message in the form of Image, text , and video to thousands each day.

There is a second side to the exposure side of the coin. You will see how others are working to get seen. There ads there ideas there marketing efforts. I learn something from my members everyday. They are working day in and day out to show there ads to us. And it shows.

Part #2 Dollars and Sense-

I have heard “time is money” all my life and if you have more time than money than Traffic exchanges are just right for you. I have bought ads with places Like Google and Yahoo and found I was wasting my both time and money because I didn’t do any research before I added money to a campaign that was due to flop. Understanding who you are delivering to you message to is every bit as important as what your message is. Testing how a banner ad converts with a traffic exchange is smart use of extra time when you find out how that banner can be changed to perform better gives you a better performing marketing tool that you may be paying to deliver latter. Just think of it this way if you have a chance to test out 2 or 3 ads and one performs way better in traffic exchanges, you would probably use that one in a paid marketing world like googles system.

Part #3 Building Blocks

As may Marketers Online today will tell you. Build your list and Brand yourself. I not going to tell you to sell your self in traffic exchanges 10 seconds or so at a time. But people will see your picture and you logo over and over and over on many different traffic exchanges this is Branding OR Top of the mind advertising you know what the Pepsi logo looks like right? that’s it Brand you and you business. And traffic exchanges are Perfect for it burn the logo image in peoples heads this is Branding. Now if your seen enough they may want more information or maybe the have seen something you have done and they want to follow you. Ask them to Join your newsletter, or your face book profile, or on twitter. That is building a LIST and yes it is kind of easy. you just need to stick with it.

Don’t worry not too many people have over night success there is no map just basic ideas on how to do it and do it well.

1 USE THEM ALL

Manual, auto, hover, PTC, Etc. You wouldn’t dump all your money into bank stock would you?
To diversify is the only way to go. There is hover surfs out there that can be every bit as big as some of the top manual traffic exchange sites and same goes for autosurfs. Its just knowing how to leverage each one. Saying no to one kind of surf is like telling hundreds of potential customers to go away we dont like you. #4 GOALS REAL GOALS

If you woke up this morning and said “I’m going to be number one” well that’s half of it. You talked about it. Now what’s your PLAN to become #1, and #1 in what? My goal is to have one new member surf my site everyday, and like it enough to use it weekly.

#5 EMAIL THEM

I may be a little off base but, when you email someone you need to have something to offer them. I hope it is great information or some extra credits or maybe a new site they haven’t seen yet, but offer them something.

Please don’t send me a email saying you don’t have anything this time see you next time. that’s is a waste of everyone’s time

#6 TO DO - TO DAY

Make a list of chores you want to get done today. Then work on them one at a time, allow some time for all of them. If you don’t have enough time to finish one or more, give them time tomorrow and work on it every day till its done. That idea you had you liked enough to try out. Don’t give up on any idea ever. It’s the one you give up on that your competitors bring to market first and makes some good money off of.

#7 GET ENGAGED

Its time to walk down the isle of bliss and good times and bad when planning on being a traffic exchange owner make sure you know there is a lot of work to keep your marriage happy and know there will be ups and downs and money maybe tight at times, so budget. Its not a hard one, your traffic exchange will stay loyal to you if you spend some time everyday with it.

#8 BE MY FRIEND

Members of your traffic exchange are going to help you more than the fellow traffic exchange owner trading accounts with you. Your members buy things from you and all they ask in return is that you listen to their complaints. They make your traffic exchange better. Members make the traffic exchange go around without them you have a website not an exchange.

#9 B & B

Build your brand, your image, and your list. Why do you have e-mail, Skype, Facebook, Blogger, Myspace, and Youtube if your not going to use it. B & B can mean Build and Brand or Build and Break. As long as your doing something you are ahead of the curve.

#10 EXIT KNOW WHEN

This should have been #1 If you don’t have: new members, time, or the drive. Sell it trade But don’t let it die. Too many webmasters in the business just walk away. WHY???? when a member comes back after a few months or a year to find the traffic exchange they likes and spent money with is close up and gone that turns them off all together. As a legitimate Traffic Exchange Owner you need to hold you self to a higher standard to help make the Image of traffic exchange shine don’t tarnish it by walking away.

The Answer May Surprise you. YES but only if it is done right. #1 don’t send your AdSense Embedded to a traffic exchange.

Step One Build a Splash Page, ok let me rephrase that Build the most Amazing Splash Page Of all time. And host it on a website completely separate form you AdSense Site. Your Goal Is to get the User to Love the Splash Page and Click through to your Money making Site.

The Funny part is this will take you thousands of visitors to make a few cents. But the traffic exchanges your using most will pay you more than a couple of dollars to get referrals. I personally earn more money than I ever did with ad sense.

I loved AdSense I made a $100 dollar check ever month and a half or more but with a traffic exchange or two I do that in two to three weeks.

I don’t want to convert you at all. Keep making Google money and you can reap the couple of dollars here and there. Its fun to do in your spare time. And if you make a few dollars from it than in vest it in a site that will make you more money. You cant afford the 32 million dollar home with Google AdSense but if you keep building and learning and reinvesting anything is possible.

IS Google paying you enough do the Math Take your Hourly rate at your “J.O.B.” lets use 10 Per Hour as an easy number this means your free time is worth $5 dollars an Hour is Google paying you 5 dollars per hour NO! what do you mean no then you might want to look to other ways to add Money to that POT.
Now its not a website its an ad site and people will run.

Go back to the basics spend One hour per day developing your website and making it more fun for the people visiting it. Then more visitors will come and then your money is starting to come naturally. This is hard for people to understand it takes work to make a few dollars online. Some times more than offline due to the Super high level of competing sites on line as opposed to the real world where geographic limitations are real. You are not going to drive 2,000 miles to get your oil changed for a dollar but on line 2,000 miles is just a click away.

Keep it Simple and smart if you think it is a grey area for AdSense then Use a splash page and stay on Google’s good side. But if you want to make more find your own advertisers for your site you build. You can always ad Your AdSense account info later if you don’t land a big fish this month.

top tricks to get top Alexa rank up

Ok yesterday I accepted a challenged from a fellow traffic exchange owner for lowering my Alexa rank.

It is a 50$ dollar prize. He knows I don’t have any tricks when it comes to this area. So rather than find some way to cheat or buy this Magic Rank from the Alexa gods I am going to try to do it the old fashion way………. Work for it.

So today when looking for ways to cheat the alexa rank….. LOL I found I have not updated this blog in a long time and again I want to do this the right way.

I have added the Alexa toolbar - Do I think its going to help? not much. but its fun to use.

The fix is easy till we find out how to fix this.

Siphon effect with TE traffic.
Ok I did not start this idea but wanted to plug it out there for you all to see.
The Siphon effect with traffic exchange traffic works like this:
lets say a major bulk of your traffic is from traffic exchanges like mine is. And you run real heavy with them for a period of 2 weeks or more (some times months) then you stop the use of traffic exchanges all together for a couple of days then Search Engines will feature your site more often for a short period of time to equal it out.
The Idea seem some what logical but there is a catch. I think it is the major change in your traffic flow.
I have not been able to confirm or deny this at all but I have tried it out a few times with a minimal measurable effect.
If you have tried this let me know what your results are
If there is some secret back door to getting in good with search engines I still have not found it but I will continue to try new ideas.

This is a question I have been asking for a long time. I have researched in depth for years. here is the pros and cons of both. while this is not perfect you just might see more benefit than you did before.

While manual surf carries a higher eyes on factor meaning more people see your site there is a lot to be said for the cost. I know its free right not at all.

Take you hourly rate at your Job lets use 10 dollars per hour now cut that in half that is your free time rate so 5 dollars per hour.
5 dollars per hour = free time wages
now how long do you manual surf? 1 or 2 hours a day? More?
Lets take 2 hours per day you spend manual surfing
so that’s 2 hours X $5 dollars for free time
That’s $10 dollars a day for manual surfing. Yes, if you surf 5 or 6 manual surfs at the same time you will get more for your 10 dollars but then your not looking at the ads at all.

Now lets take auto surfing

what is 301 reditect and how will it work?

So ablazewithtraffic.com is trying something called 301 redirect for about 23 of our URLs

what is a 301 redirect. The quick version is it is a germinate search engine friendly way to move a URL or page.

Why would you use it?

It is simple if you just park a URL it is now looked at like duplicate content no search engine likes this.

a 301 is the White hat way of pointing a URL some where else.

What are the benefits?

Its not real logical to ask every one linking to you to change the link
also its not easy to regain the Page rank or search engine love for the page

301 will do both to some degree google has no clear dry answer that I found but by all accounts this is the most accepted way ( not Spam)

This week I have watched Kanye West Keywords go all over the place if you were a gossip website and you were not first on this topic you missed the boat and the same goes for your field again if you a movie critic and you watched a great movie and copied some one else review your not going to be seen. #3 Itch the Niche

OK so yesterday I get a call form a local Auto dealer. I have a bid in with them to increase there used car sales. The phone call ends with the dealer telling me that reach locals rep said my product does not work.

Ha ha I know this is a tactic used by companies that do not have real products or have less than average understanding with there own products.

I admit I was very upset when I was on the phone listening to this as I am a new company.

This is a big deal due to the fact that the dealerships that sell cars are now owning the company of the product they sell.

This is good news for GM who is cash straped Bankrupt and on the edge of systematic melt down. They are selling some of the smaller profit lines to save the ones that can hold a profit.

But

Is this could bad news for the saturn customers that have worked up some small level of brand loyalty. as a dealership owning a franchise is also the dealer this could drive up the prices.

but the man at the at fhe front of the company looking to releave GM ot its satun line Rodger Penske runs one of the most sucessful dealer groups in the US.

It is amazing to me that the dealers are still able to fight back to gain some ground.

If this goes through this will pose real mixed emotions for consumers, investors and dealers.
